Holy shit, another year has passed and I only released one single album in 2008. That’s (quantitatively speaking) the worst result since I started to release my music. I vow to improve and will therefor start into 2009 with a fresh new full length album:
Memplex will be released on laridae.at in early January 2009 and will please those of you, who’ve enjoyed my early works like Digitalis and Within, or the calmed down, oldschool flavored About The Living Things. What to expect from Memplex? Well, be prepared for 11 neat and (more or less) catchy Electronica / Ambient / BoC-style soundscapes, spized with tons of field recordings and several other secret ingredients.
In the meantime: Merry Christmas and a happy new Year! See you in 2009!
Uh, time is going by so fast. November is about to end again and just as every year I seize the chance to refer to my Ambient album “November 30th“, released on great netlabel tonAtom in 2005. Best heard while going for a calmed down dreamy foggy thoughtful autumn walk. You won’t regret it.

Ein eher unbekannter Roman des grandiosen russischen Autoren-Bruderpaares, dem das Etikette “Phantastik” im Grunde weit besser steht als das der “Science Fiction“. Zeitlich ist die Handlung in einer nicht näher bestimmten Gegenwart angesiedelt, räumlich in einigen wenigen Wohnungen eines russischen Hochhauses. Das Werk könnte beinahe schon als Bühnenstück durchgehen, so reduziert gehen Boris und Arkadi Strugazki hier an die literarische Arbeit. more »

Die Annahme, Science-Fiction (bzw. ihr osteuropäisches Pendant, die “Wissenschaftliche Phantastik“) würde (wolle/könne) etwas über die reale Zukunft aussagen, ist ja ein weit verbreiteter Irrtum - und wohl auch einer der Gründe, warum Science-Fiction-Literatur nur allzu oft vollkommen hirnrissigen Bewertungskriterien unterworfen wird. more »
