As time goes by… another year has passed and another november is about to end. And again I seize the chance to refer to my Ambient album “November 30th“, released on the great netlabel tonAtom in 2005. Best heard while going for a calmed down dreamy foggy thoughtful autumn walk.

Enjoy!
Kreislauf just released a 4-track-EP by my newest side project Thomas Down (well, Thomas actually came into existence on The Brainslug Paradox). The new release is titled The Value And Importance Of Sexual Affection and I guess some of you really won’t like it, as it’s quite a side trip through straight, hormone-flooded, four-to-the-floor dance music. Holy shit!

You can again dowload or quickly stream the release straight away from >>> archive.org
Dance baby, dance!
I had the great great honor to lay my hands on sound material by Cluster - the gorgeous German Krautrock duo known for shaping the sound of electronic music together with bands like Kraftwerk, Tangerine Dream or Neu! during the 70ies – and for recording two albums together with Brian Eno. Their new album Qua has just been released on Nepenthe Music – and I got the chance to produce an official remix for one of the new tracks named Xanesra.
The remix is part of the OFFICIAL ELEVATE COMPILATION 2009, which can be downloaded for free at zero” (you just have to create an account there, takes about half a minute).

Big thanks to both Hans-Joachim Roedelius and Dieter Moebius, and to all the others involved for making this possible!
Is it the digital reissue of an imaginary techno compilation that should have been released 15 years ago in order to not sound completely redundant? Or is it an hommage to the classic 90ies braindance sound? Is it the audible result of a minor schizophrenic outburst? Or just a bunch of straightforward electronic/techno/breakbeat tracks ready to kick your ass?
Choose your perspective!

So, what does all this mean? It means that I have contributed several new tracks and mixes to The Brainslug Paradox, the newest compilation on Zhang Jian Wen’s gorgeous Chinese bypass netlabel. You’ll find new exclusive material by Photophob, Macon Tights, Das Gritli Moser as well as by some new pseudonyms of mine.
Well, ok, there’s no denying it (you already guessed it anyway). It’s just another full length Photophob release, hidden under the magic cap of an imaginary 90ies braindance compilation. Ha-ha. Have fun!

I produced a new track for the up and coming Chinese Bypass netlabel. The track is called ‘Parts Apart‘ and has now been released on ‘The Nines‘ (BP033), a compilation featuring artists from around the world, like Lackluster, Syndrôm, Randomform and many others.

Thanks a lot to ZhangJW for all the work and effort!
I’ve been invited by ‘Radio Heckenklescher’ to talk about my different music projects. The show has been aired live on April 14, 2009 on Radio Helsinki. In case you’ve missed it (of course you have), here’s the live recording:

My new album Memplex has just been released on laridae.at, of course as free netrelease, instantly downloadable for your listening pleasure.

On Memplex you will get a calmed down mixture of Electronica, Ambient and Trip Hop soundscapes, spized with tons of field recordings. It should please those of you, who’ve enjoyed my early works like Digitalis, Within, or About The Living Things – or those who are in favour of artists like Boards of Canada and Arovane.

Also check out the artwork, featuring different macro photos for each track:

Holy shit, another year has passed and I only released one single album in 2008. That’s (quantitatively speaking) the worst result since I started to release my music. I vow to improve and will therefor start into 2009 with a fresh new full length album:
Memplex will be released on laridae.at in early January 2009 and will please those of you, who’ve enjoyed my early works like Digitalis and Within, or the calmed down, oldschool flavored About The Living Things. What to expect from Memplex? Well, be prepared for 11 neat and (more or less) catchy Electronica / Ambient / BoC-style soundscapes, spized with tons of field recordings and several other secret ingredients.
In the meantime: Merry Christmas and a happy new Year! See you in 2009!
Uh, time is going by so fast. November is about to end again and just as every year I seize the chance to refer to my Ambient album “November 30th“, released on great netlabel tonAtom in 2005. Best heard while going for a calmed down dreamy foggy thoughtful autumn walk. You won’t regret it.
