New track for Bypass netlabel

I produced a new track for the up and coming Chinese Bypass netlabel. The track is called ‘Parts Apart‘ and has now been released on ‘The Nines‘ (BP033), a compilation featuring artists from around the world, like Lackluster, SyndrĂ´m, Randomform and many others.

Download the whole release as ZIP from archive.org,
or listen to ‘Parts Apart‘ directly here:

Audio clip: Adobe Flash Player (version 9 or above) is required to play this audio clip. Download the latest version here. You also need to have JavaScript enabled in your browser.

Thanks a lot to ZhangJW for all the work and effort!

I agree. This is excellent music. Photophob’s been, as they say, on a roll recently. “Parts Apart” is deceptively minimalistic but if you listen closely there’s a lot to be discovered, for instance how the different sound sources are placed within musical space.

And speaking of space, I can imagine a lot of stories for this track but surprisingly enough, there aren’t any humans in them :-)

(I’m thinking of robots self-re-assembling after an accident, for example…)
